In collaboration with Ryan Dean from LUMUKU, Buena Gráfica Social Studio designed a 1,295-foot-long scrim/banner to serve as a temporary fence covering for the new pavilion being built in the park. The design features large-scale geometric shapes inspired by the building, along with vibrant colors, and Ryan’s fun construction illustrations.
About the Artist:
Buena Gráfica Social Studio is an interdisciplinary practice led by Tatiana Gómez and José Menéndez in Providence, Rhode Island. LUMUKU was started by Ryan Dean, an English teacher by day, artist by night, and world-explorer for life.
While running an art studio for Turkish children in a dynamic English language program in Istanbul, Rye was inspired every day by co-workers and students alike, who dissolved communication barriers simply by having fun.
So, inspiration struck to create new ways to bring people together and make the world a brighter place. Rye is making this dream come to life while living in Providence, Rhode Island.
